Goodbye Beijing

We leave in two hours for the airport. We are saying goodbye to Mia's birthplace. It is bittersweet.

This is where she was born.

This is where she was left and we will never know why.

This is where she was found for another mother's arms.

Only He can turn ashes to beauty.

Thank you Jesus.

He will bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. Isaiah 61:3

I see the beauty already... it's called love and wrapped around your precious child. :)
Blessings!

Beautiful...

Tonight we had guests over for dinner. The kids asked if they could pray for dinner...when it was Brenna's turn she prayed, "Dear God, Thank you for the food and please help the Vandenbergs to get home safely."

The two photos... ugh, tissue alert! The beauty is truly unfolding -it's evident that God's fingerprints are on that precious child.

Very sweet pictures of a mother and child -- both found by their Savior.
